History
Bateman Manufacturing was founded by Jack Bateman in 1989. The first factory was located in Collingwood, ON, and soon moved to Barrie, ON.
The first Bateman four-tine orange peel grapple was designed by Mark Vandenberg (previously the Mechanical Engineer and now our GM) and manufactured by our team. This development allowed us to expand into a new market and establish ourselves as a leading manufacturer of material handling attachments. Due to an increase in demand, Bateman began working out of an additional facility located in Orillia, ON, dedicated solely to producing material-handling attachments. This enabled an increase in production rates.
In 2011, Bateman moved to a larger 35,000 sq. ft. facility in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. This decision was due to another surge in demand. The new facility allowed Bateman to ramp up production and hit new strides.
In 2019, Bateman Manufacturing was purchased by GRYB International, an industry leader and material handling manufacturer based in Victoriaville, Quebec.
Today, Bateman is an industry leader manufacturing and fabricating the highest quality of material handling attachments.
